- June 04, 2022With the NHL playoffs starting this week it’s probably time that you learned what some of the key terms in the game of hockey mean. If you’re just getting into the game, or going to watch some playoff hockey with friends, you won’t want to be stuck asking questions about the rules the whole time. So, to help, we put together this list of some of the most common hockey rules and terms that you’ll need to know in order to follow the games. For this article we are going to assume that you know terms related to the equipment and how goals are scored, and by that we are assuming that you know what a hockey puck and stick are and that a goal is scored when the puck goes into the opposing teams net. Those are the extreme basics when it comes to hockey. Where most people start to get lost is when it comes to some of the rules of the game. This also includes what the lines on the ice mean, what a power play is, how a shootout works, and things of that nature. So, let’s take a quick look at some

- May 19, 2022There are all different types of stickers available from helmet stickers to scratch and sniff stickers. Certain stickers and decals are made in a way that they can withstand the elements as well as above-normal wear and tear. But how are these made and what gives them the ability to withstand more than other stickers. Waterproof stickers are a necessity when it comes to things like helmet decals, vehicle stickers, and other types of stickers that may be placed outside in the elements. These stickers need to be able to look good and remain stuck to a surface regardless of what sort of weather rains down upon them. So how are stickers made to be waterproof? Is there as special adhesive that must be used? Is there a special paper or material that is used to create the stickers? Let’s find out!
Are All Stickers Waterproof?
No. Not all stickers are waterproof. Certain types of stickers are more likely to be able to stand up to getting wet, but just because a sticker is made of a certain material -
- April 21, 2022Direct to Garment Printing (DTG) and screen printing are two different methods that can be used to print on to t-shirts and other articles of clothing. Both methods of printing have their pros and cons, but if you’re looking to print graphics, logos, or designs on to any sort of apparel, there’s a good chance your printing company will be using one of these methods. While both methods of printing will produce stellar results for your event or team there are times when you will want to choose one of the other. Let’s take a look at the differences between DTG printing and screen printing.
What is DTG Printing (Direct to Garment)?
DTG printing is essentially a printer, similar to the one you have on your desk or at your office, but instead of printing on to paper it can print on to fabric and textiles. These printers can be small and easy to use when compared to something like a screening setup. This allows for high quality prints without the need for expensive setups, manual ink pressing -
- April 01, 2022In the past we have outlined many different ways to help you remove stickers and decals from different surfaces, but what if you’re looking to do the opposite? What if your favorite sticker or decal has started to peel and lose its stickiness, is it possible to make a sticker stick again? In some cases, it may be possible to restore the adhesive on the back of a sticker, but it will require the use of a 3rd party product. Unfortunately, once the original adhesive on the back of the sticker/decal has dried out or has lost its stickiness, there’s not really a good way to bring it back to life. You can, however, add a new layer of adhesive that will help your sticker stick again.
Making a Sticker Sticky Again
While the adhesive on the back of a sticker can dry out or become un-sticky after longer periods of time, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t ways to reapply a new adhesive. Reapplying a new adhesive to your stickers can give them new life with little effort. Before you start trying -
- March 23, 2022Do you remember scratch and sniff stickers? Those stickers we all had as kids where you would scratch the front of them, and they would instantly smell like whatever the sticker was? As a kid these were some of our favorite stickers to get. Scratching them for the first time was such a rush as you never knew if the smell was going to remotely resemble what was shown on the front of the sticker. You could end up with a strawberry that smelled like nothing or an apple that smelled like a cherry. You never know what you were going to get. Inconsistent smells aside, have you ever wondered how a scratch and sniff sticker worked? Would a scratch and snick sticker still smell if you didn’t actually scratch it first? Of course, as kids, we never really cared about how the stickers worked, we just loved the smell of them. As adults, however, we have more of a curiosity about how things work. Let’s talk a little bit about how scratch and sniff stickers give off their scents and how they are made.

- March 05, 2022With the NBA Finals starting this week we thought it would be a great time to take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to basketball shoes. Whether you’re playing a pickup game, an intramural game, or playing for the school team, it’s always important to make sure you have the proper equipment. Depending on the sport you play this includes everything from the shoes to the pads, all the way up to the helmets. Just because basketball may require less in terms of equipment, when compared to other sports, that doesn’t mean that the equipment isn’t just as important. Running around and playing basketball in the wrong shoes can lead to serious injuries. These injuries can prevent you from doing everyday activities and impede your movement while on the basketball court. And while it’s not important to have the most expensive, or the latest, basketball shoe, it is important to make sure you have something that will support your ankles and your feet while on the court.

- February 24, 2022Baseball spring training has official begun… well it would have if the MLB wasn’t still in a lockout. Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association have not reached a deal in their collective bargaining agreement, therefore players, regardless of position, have not started reporting for spring training. While this year is different than most other years, normally pitchers and catchers would report to their respective spring training locations ahead of the traditional position players. Typically these players would report to spring training roughly 5 days ahead of everyone else, but do you know why? Let’s take a look at why pitchers and catchers report for spring training earlier than the rest of the players.
MLB Spring Training – Pitchers and Catchers
A sure sign that baseball season is almost here is when you hear those worlds “pitchers and catchers report for spring training”. This signifies that the first players are making their way to warmer climate to start -
- January 24, 2022As we continue to usher in the era of modern super stadiums, the food at these stadiums continues to get better and better. Not even 20 years ago when you went to a professional stadium, you would most likely be eating a hot dog, nachos, French fries, maybe a burger, and peanuts. That was the extent of the food options at most professional sports stadiums for years. These days the food in the stadium is just as important as the views from your seat. Good food and drink options can bring in people that may not even be interested in the games. It can incentivize people to join their friends for a game even when their favorite team isn’t playing. All of these new food options are another great way for the teams to increase their revenue and help build these amazing modern stadiums for us to enjoy. Personally we still think there’s nothing better than a good old fashioned hot dog (or Chicago Style Dog) when you’re watching your favorite team play. But let’s take a look at some of the best food

- December 29, 2021It’s no secret that football helmets take a beating. Week after week, day after day, these protective devices are designed to absorb the impact from tackles and hits in order to protect our heads. But how do you know when it’s time to replace your football helmet, or have it reconditioned? Football helmets were not designed to last forever. It would be unrealistic to think that a device designed to protect you from harm could survive hit after hit over the years and not have to be replaced. Almost all safety devices in our everyday lives have an “expiration” date, or a date in which they should be inspected. For example, did you know that children’s car seats expire? It’s true, after 7-8 years, the plastic in the car seats can begin to degrade making them less effective than if they were new. Car seats also need to be thrown away or destroyed if they were ever in a vehicle that was in a car accident. So if car seats have such strict rules about not being usable after a single crash (no
