- April 29, 2020The visors you see adorning the helmets of some football players has an interesting history. While the football helmets were created in the early 1900's, the football visor has only been around since the 1980's. Also known as an eyeshield, it’s most often made out of a synthetic curved material that attaches to the front of a football helmet. The primary purpose of the visor is to add an additional layer of protection for the eyes of players. Mud, sand, fingers, cleats, and even grass can easily find their way into an unprotected helmet. This can cause severe eye damage, especially when the football player is fully focused on avoiding the 300 lb. linebacker headed straight for them at full speed. We’re going to take a look at the football helmet visor, its history, and the rules that govern its usage in the NFL.
History of Visors
The sunglasses company Oakley first started making football visors out of poly-carbonate and plutonite in the early 1980's. These synthetic materials are chemically -
- April 15, 2020Custom decals and stickers allow us to express our individuality, team spirit, and decorate an otherwise plain surface. However, there’s nothing more frustrating than trying to stick a decal to something, only to have it not stick at all, or peel right off after a day or two. We want to make sure you don’t have those same problems, so we put together a list of materials and surfaces that decals and stickers will and won’t stick to. Before we begin, we need to explain the slight differences between a sticker and a decal along with the various types of adhesives that are used.
Stickers vs. Decals
Generally speaking, the words “sticker” and “decal” are interchangeable. They’re an adhesive label that uses a high-definition printer and special inks to create bright, colorful, and vivid designs. When there is a difference between the two words, it’s usually when the decal design is prepared on a special type of paper that’s intended to be transferred onto another surface. Under this definition, -
- March 18, 2020There are two ways of creating a custom t-shirt: digital and screen printing. Unlike digital printing, which relies upon computers and printers to create custom t-shirts, screen printing is a manual process that’s labor-intensive and takes a bit more time. So why opt for a screen-printed t-shirt? There are several advantages to screen printing. Due to the nature of the process, it tends to work best with only one or two colors. While digital printing requires the ink to soak into the t-shirt, screen printing uses a much thicker ink that lays on top of the shirt and has a much softer feel to it when touched. Screen printing is also a more affordable way of ordering large quantities of t-shirts. The only downside is that it can take a few extra days to create the order. We’re going to share with you the process of how screen-printed shirts are created so you can get a better appreciation for that super cool custom t-shirt that you just ordered!
What is Screen Printing?

- February 03, 2020On January 13th, 1968, Minnesota North Stars rookie center Bill Masterton had just been passed the puck by teammate Wayne Connelly. Two Oakland Seals defensemen suddenly appeared out of nowhere and body checked Masterton. As the Giants and their fans erupted in celebration, the Bills stood there stunned by what had just happened. Norwood hung his head and walked dejectedly off the field seemingly unaware that his last name

- November 14, 2019It’s often frustrating when you put on your favorite t-shirt and realize that it doesn’t fit as well as the last time you wore it. While some might wonder if they’ve gained a couple of pounds, the most likely answer is that the shirt has shrunk a few sizes. Trying to stretch the shirt out with your hands or feet often results in tears or weakening of the fabric. Water Temperature
Most t-shirts are made out of cotton, or a cotton-blend, and it tends to shrink due to the tension that’s applied during the construction process. Heat—whether by water or air—will release this tension and cause the fabric to shrink back to its original size.
